2008.05.09 - ARGOSY AWARDED A FISMA ST&E CONTRACT BY A FTC PRIME CONTRACTOR

Bethesda, MD, USA – Argosy Omnimedia, Inc. announced the award of FISMA System Test & Evaluation (ST&E) contract by a private commercial federal prime contractor providing business process outsourcing (BPO) services to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

As the Certification Agent, Argosy will function as the independent auditory conducting the FISMA evaluation on behalf of the FTC.  Argosy will be performing a comprehensive ST&E assessment of the cybersecurity readiness of the prime contractor's network assets dedicated to supporting the BPO contract.  This assessment will be performed in compliance with the NIST 800-53 Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information Systems, 800-53a Guide for Assessing the Security Controls in Federal Information Systems, and 800-37 Guide for the Security Certification and Accreditation of Federal Information Systems.

Upon completion of this engagement, Argosy's cybersecurity analysts will provide a comprehensive ST&E document to the FTC and the prime contractor detailing and compliance gaps that may result in findings defined in the Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) corrective action plan.
