2008.02.08 - ARGOSY AWARDED INFORMATION SECURITY ASSESSMENT
CONTRACT FROM A MEDICARE ADMINISTRATIVE CONTRACTOR

Argosy Omnimedia, Inc. announced the award of an
enterprise-wide information technology security assessment
for a Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC). The
engagement encompasses the testing and evaluation of
enterprise-wide assets to both the HIPAA and evolving FISMA
regulatory requirements defined by the Centers for Medicare
and Medicaid Services (CMS) Business Partner Systems
Security Manual (BPSSM). The BPSSM applies to all Part
A/Part B and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) MACs,
Enterprise Data Centers and other CMS outsourced contracting
organizations.
This engagement will encompass the
testing of sixteen (16) different asset categories to a
range of the National Institute of Standards and Technology
(NIST) information security Special Publications including;
800-53 Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information
Systems, 800-42 Guideline on Network Security Testing, and
800-64 Security Considerations in the Information System
Development Life Cycle among several other SP800 standards
and guidelines. A range of external and internal
vulnerability testing is also included within the scope of
the engagement.
