Standards -

Interoperability standards are essentially to secure, ubiquitous collaboration.  Argosy is a leader in the implementation of e-Business platforms that support the integration with trading partners, vendors and commercial-off-the-shelf products.  All of Argosy's designs are based on technologies and products with well document application programming interfaces (API) that facilitate expansion and customization of the product to the unique and competitively differentiating requirements of our clients.  Argosy's IT development staff have worked with the following key industry standards:

  • Electronic Business (ebXML)
  • eGov
  • WS* (Web Services)
  • Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)
  • Digital Property Rights Language (DPRL)
  • Open Digital Rights Language (ODRL)
  • Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM)

Technology -

Our client's requirements take precedence over any predisposed solution.  During the conceptualization and requirements definition phases of an engagement, Argosy's consultants work with our client's subject matter experts to evaluate factors other than technology such as; 1) business process decomposition, 2) asset investment profile, 3) competitive market positioning/posture and 4) return on investment (ROI) threshold/goal.  These parameters are then combined with information such as; 1) legacy IT platform, 2) operations and maintenance resources, 3) "best-in-class" technology and products (that meet the requirements), and 4) estimated cost for customization.  From this comes an comprehensive understanding of the automation functionality and the expected ROI.   After this is completed, the implementation phase of the engagement begins.  Argosy's IT consulting staff (e.g. system engineers, software developers) have expertise in the following product families:

  • Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE)
  • Websphere Application Server (WAS) and Websphere Studio/Application Designer (WSAD)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework and Visual Studio .NET 2003
  • Oracle, DB2, SQL Server & My SQL
  • Tomcat AS
  • Windows 2003 Server & XP
  • Linux AS

This list is by no means complete.  Argosy's staff has worked with a variety of application specific products as well such as WS Commerce Suite and MS BizTalk to name a few.
