Argosy provides management and information
technology consulting services in various, synergistic domains of expertise.
Three practice areas have evolved from the clients and partners of Argosy over
the past years. The key to success in IT is being "down the learning curve" on
the variety of best practices, methodologies and technologies that form the
foundation of data processing automation. Each client's requirements are
unique, however, Argosy's staff has probably seen and solved many of the
problems facing your organization many times before.
Consulting Practices:
e-Commerce Genesis - early "dot com"
development of highly interactive, multi-media product commerce
sites was where Argosy got started in July 1997. Argosy staff
applied experience gained from building the early versions of
interactive video-on-demand, high-performance computing platforms to
the "narrow-band" Internet.
e-Business - construction of advanced
business-to-business sites and business-to-consumer websites led to
secure, collaborative business models supporting the tighter
integration of business partner relationships and trading models.
Information Assurance - the "hardening" of
client's networks and servers spawned Argosy's IT security practice
in 2001. Since this time, Argosy has developed extensive expertise
in IT Security best practices, technology and regulatory compliance.
See Argosy's Federal
Information Systems Security for Agencies and Prime Contractors -
FISMA Compliance and Testing for more information on federal
information security readiness and compliance.
Business Continuity - a greater dependency on
e-Business automation increased the risk to system-wide outages.
High-availability system engineering led to the spawning of this
third practice domain in 2002.
Staff Consultants:
System Engineering - enterprise architecture
of servers, workstations and networks
Network Engineering - design for performance,

standards.
